MEET OUR COACHES
During their thirteen years running SWTC, then taking on their second venue CTC in 2024 husband and wife duo Ryan and Monique have welcomed the most experienced tennis coaches in the south of Sydney. With ten coaches, collectively their playing and coaching experience includes the Women’s Tennis Association, high-level International Tennis Federation, and the ATP Circuit (Association of Tennis Professionals). Let’s just say you and your racquet is in safe hands.

Behind the scenes, our awesome team keeps things running like a well-oiled backhand. Not only are they tennis players themselves, but our friendly admin crew is here to answer your questions and help you find everything you need in the Pro Shop. They're the secret weapon that keeps SWTC sailing smoothly!

Suzie has been part of the SWTC community from the very beginning, starting as our very first lesson when Ryan and Monique took over. Having grown up around the game and played competitive junior tournaments across NSW, she brings a strong understanding of tennis and valuable behind-the-scenes experience.
Having completed her Sport & Exercise Management degree, Suzie supports both the coaching team and daily operations at SWTC, managing admin, communication and keeping everything running smoothly.
Calm, reliable and genuinely connected to the club, Suzie is an integral part of the SWTC team.

Max is one of the people that bombarde you with text messages in the office! He loves playing and watching tennis (a given when you work here), but he also enjoys screaming at the TV when the NRL is on, and can talk about movies for days. If you ever need any help, feel free to pop up to the office and have a chat with him.

Hey, I’m Matilda! I’ve grown up surrounded by sport from competing in gymnastics for most of my life to continuing to play soccer since I was 7. I also come from a very creative background, with my mum being an art teacher who definitely passed that side on to me.
I joined SWTC as a student with my friend and sister, playing in an adult class coached by Carlos, and now work as the social media assistant for SWTC & CTC. When I’m not playing around with design or creating content, I also coach gymnastics.
Outside of sport, I love going for hikes, baking, spending time with friends, and getting to the gym. I’m always up for a bit of fun, so if you see me around, don’t be afraid to say hi - you might even end up on the Instagram!

You can find me at the SWTC office on Monday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
My journey with SWTC began 8 years ago when I was just 10 years old, learning the game of tennis from our incredible coaches, Monique and Ryan. Being back at SWTC as part of this amazing team is a joy, and I love being surrounded by such a great community of kind and caring people.

Hi, I’m Luke Lawless!
You can find me at the SWTC & CTC office throughout the week & weekends. I’ve played tennis here at Sylvania for many years now, whether it’s hitting with friends or playing competitions. My journey working at SWTC began at the start of 2026, where I developed my love for tennis and the community around it. Being part of the team now is something I really enjoy, and it’s great to be involved in such a positive and supportive environment. My favourite player that’s been on tour is Dominic Thiem! I was lucky enough to watch him live, and I really admire the way he goes about his game, and of course his incredible one-handed backhand.
